Q: DOES SIGNING UP FOR A DREAM COMMIT ME TO A TEAM? A: No. Sign ups are Free and there is no cost. You can choose to join a team later on or you can pass on any opportunity. It's all up to you. And you can sign up for as many dreams as you like. When the right dream comes along - at the right price and timing - you follow your heart as it leads you. Q: HOW DOES THE $1000 REWARD FOR STARTING A TEAM DREAM WORK? A: It's Easy. We keep track of who planted the seeds that started each dream by date and time. WHEN a DREAM turns into a TEAM ( when people actually purchase and activate a Team project vacation home), we check our records and reward the original visionary with a check for $1000 - This reward is tendered even if that person is no longer interested or declines to be on the team. Q: HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO GENERATE A TEAM FROM DREAM INTO ACTION? A: It depends on the people involved and how ready they are to take their dreams into reality. Sometimes it can take months. Sometimes it may take years. When you sign up you project a timetable that feels right. Often team membership changes over time. But if people are ready it can happen within a few weeks. When the right people team up and find the right property - magic happens! Q: HOW DO YOU GET THE FINAL TEAM ROSTER TOGETHER? A: It may take 15 to 30 people interested in a project to find the 5 or 6 who will really step up to make it real. We find a Team Captain, or a couple of Co-Captains, to lead the team in refining the dream, sorting through the options, and selecting a property and location that meets all or most of the criteria they signed up for to enjoy in a vacation home investment. Q: HOW DO I GET TO KNOW MY TEAM MATES BEFORE WE COMMIT TO JOINING A TEAM? A: We offer opportunities for people to get acquainted on line or over conference calls once the basic reviews and filters have been completed. It's not too much unlike computer dating - matching up people who will fit together. But keep in mind that you will seldom be sharing the home together. Most people look for respect, commitment, common sense and agreement with the outlines and operating agreements the group will share. Q: WHAT ABOUT THE PERSONALITIES AND ATTITUDES OF THE PEOPLE INVOLVED? WHAT IF I DON'T FEEL RIGHT ABOUT THE OTHERS ON THE TEAM OR THE DIRECTION THEY WANT TO GO? A: We've found that people with similar dreams usually get along pretty well. They have similar interests and appreciate that together they are creating something that none of them could do or would want to do alone. Scuba divers will want to be near great diving; Skiers and Snowboarders will want access to good snow, etc. The beauty of Internet Networking allows us to take our time and find the right chemistry for each team. Q: BUT WHAT IF I DO WANT TO STEP BACK? OR I'M NOT READY. HOW DO I LEAVE THE TEAM? A: Easy. You can always drop off the team at any time, or start a different one in the same area or with a similar property. Even if you decide to leave after the financial investment of joining in - you can always put your share up for sale. We plan to have a waiting list of alternate players who want to be on a team or people who have rented and might like to be owners. Q: WHAT IF MORE THAN ONE TEAM FORMS IN THE SAME AREA? A: No Problem. In fact that's considered a good thing and will occur naturally. In some cases the response to a team dream may be so powerful that more than one team will evolve. This allows more options for teamwork and co-operation in marketing for rentals, exchanges and overflows. We stress co-operation over competition. Q: WHAT ABOUT MY FAMILY, CO-WORKERS & RELATIVES JOINING MY TEAM? A: We've found sometimes it's almost better to work with "strangers" (who become new friends) than to carry along the "Baggage" of old relationship patterns. Too often friends and family may be "set" in their roles and old habits persist. Perhaps someone doesn't carry their weight or make their payments on time. Or maybe brother gets unemployed, sister gets pregnant, and the timing doesn't work. So we've found being respectful and business-like with new found friends is almost always the best option for a successful team. As the old saying goes: "You can choose your friends, but you can't choose your relatives." Q: BUT MY FOLKS ARE UNIQUE. HOW CAN I GET MY FAMILY AND FRIENDS INVOLVED IN MY TEAM? A: We would approach the coaching of a family or business team just like any other. But it may require some group counseling. (Smile) Seriously, there are some who can do it - but too often it can put friction in areas where there are already wears and tears. As one Team member put it: "Maybe I need a vacation from family, co-workers and friends - what then?" Only you can decide what kind of team is best for you. Q: IF THIS HAS NO COST, THEN HOW DOES IT WORK WHEN YOU GET A TEAM TOGETHER? A: We are a core team of Realtors, Investors, Teachers, Counselors, CPAs, Financial Advisors & Lawyers who consult among ourselves for creating the best possible options for teams to form, survive and thrive. We take a 10% share in ownership with each Team Project; acting as a silent partner and wise guide for the process and evolution of each team. This also brings more value and credibility to the team and options like exchanging homes ( both vacation teams and individual residences ) within our network, social connecting, other selected investment opportunities, Newsletter info, training seminars, mediation expertise, etc. Q: WHY SHOULD WE SHARE 10% OWNERSHIP ? A: Well it beats the costs of paying cash up front and it brings you into a teamwork relationship immediately. If you were to sell the home outright, you would probably be paying a real estate company a hefty fee. The average realty commission runs around 6% to 7%. So do the math. We look to play as a coaching staff and bring you to the best you can be. In sports we seldom see a Championship Team evolve overnight. It will take some effort and energy on the part of all the team players to make their team dream a real success. It helps to have a coach. That's what we're here for and how we can provide continual benefits to your team. Q: WHY A 10% SHARE TO THE CORPORATION? A: It's a figure that fits with our overall teamwork goals of giving 1% to the Planet and so forth. If you have five partners - each has 18% ownership. If six partners - each has 15% ownership. It's a figure that is balanced so that everyone can win-win-win on the team. Plus we generally create that 10% bump in equity just by starting a team with credibility and experience. For example; if your home is worth say $200,000. We will market it for $220,000 - and the ten percent ownership to our company is included already. People understand concepts of how any product is sold. If you buy in bulk your soap, food, or anything will cost you less per pound. But if you buy in smaller packages you will pay a bit more per pound. Yet it is win-win-win for all based on size of the need, availability of capital and so forth. Q: WHAT DOES A TEAM GET FOR THAT 10% AMOUNT? A: You get a circle of experienced veteran players who can help coach your team as needed. That value of combined experience is, as they say in those humorous Mastercard commercials, "Priceless". We help screen and interview your potential team mates as well as provide creative consulting and guidance down the line. We link you with other teams and keep you informed of ideas, options and concepts via E-Newsletters. We may even be able to help provide some financing to boost team muscle in acquisition and improvements. Our staff is continually looking at ways to be of service and to share energy to create win-win-win scenarios. Q: WHAT IS THE VISION OF THE TEAM-DREAMS CORE COUNCIL? A: We want to change the world. We want to help individuals step up and live their dreams. We want to build bridges among cultures and races and nations to help create a happier, healthier more peaceful world. To do this, we need to make a Natural Capitalism Hybrid for what we call Social Profit as well as personal profit. As we find ideas that may fit well into our overall structure, we ask ourselves questions that must pass a battery of sustainability tests. We know that each effort must have benefit for our four main areas of value concern: Person - Planet - Community & Spirit. If the ideas or concepts can pass these tests - then we test it out. Q: SO MANY OF YOUR IDEAS ARE TEST PILOT PROJECTS THEN? A: In some ways each team is a test pilot project until it has a track record of ten years or more. Even then, changes in the team, the market or the regional geography and economics can necessitate more adjusting. We are constantly learning and re-evaluating as we grow. This is why we want to inspire the energy of teamwork and teamplay within each group. We need to learn and share amongst us all to gain maximum benefit from the effort of each team and each player. |
